Weight Reduction: The Performance Advantage of DR-25-TW Thin Wall Tubing

In high-end competitive motorsport and aerospace engineering, “Mass is the Enemy.” Every gram saved translates to milliseconds on the track or increased payload in the air. For these elite applications, our factory specializes in the DR-25-TW (Thin Wall) variant [19].

30% Weight Savings per Meter

DR-25-TW was developed directly from the legendary DR-25, specifically for space and weight-sensitive environments [20]. While the standard DR-25 has a wall thickness of 0.89mm, the DR-25-TW reduces this to 0.51mm (for 1/4″ size) [19]. This delivers an approximate 30% reduction in weight across your entire loom [21].

Identical Protection, Lower Profile

Despite being thinner, DR-25-TW does not compromise on protection. It offers the identical chemical resistance to fuels and oils and the same -75°C to +150°C operating range as its standard counterpart [19, 22].

  • Space Saving: The lower profile allows for tighter routing in compact chassis or airframes [20].
  • Fast Installation: The thinner wall allows for faster heat transfer and recovery [20].
  • Certifications: Fully compliant with VG95343 Part 5 Type D standards [21, 23].

20 Years of Lightweighting Expertise

Our 20-year history in manufacturing high-performance elastomeric tubing allows us to offer factory-direct supply of DR-25-TW in 10 standard sizes [22]. Whether you are building an FSAE car or a commercial satellite, we support custom spooling and cut-to-length services to minimize waste and maximize efficiency.
